Administrator for the Street Unit
The Community Building Administration offers creative discussions, a fast pace, solution-focused working methods, and gives you the opportunity to drive and participate in changing community building processes. We are a collaborative administration between Hällefors, Lindesberg, Ljusnarsberg, and Nora municipalities with a broad mandate within the municipalities' community building processes.
The administration consists of three main areas of operation: technical operations, planning and projects, and building and environment.
The Street Unit is responsible for roads, streets, as well as pedestrian and bicycle paths in our municipalities. In total, it involves a stretch of 550 kilometers that must be maintained in summer and winter. Additionally, there are about 15,000 lighting points and 80 bridges that fall under the unit's responsibility. Starting from January 1, 2026, traffic will also be included in the unit.
Currently, the Street Unit employs 15 people, including 3 specialists, 11 operational staff, and 1 unit manager.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
As an administrator with us, you will be an important part of the Street and Traffic operations and contribute to ensuring that our operations run smoothly every day. In your role, you will support the unit in many of the administrative flows needed in daily operations. You will work with our operational systems, where you will play a central role in keeping information updated and ensuring that the systems are used correctly.
You will handle restorations related to public land and assist with procurement-related questions when needed. The role also includes responsibility for the unit's vehicles, from administration of leasing and insurance to management of fuel cards.
Part of the role involves supporting the unit's financial flows and documentation. You will follow up on invoices, perform simpler internal reconciliations, and ensure that documents and cases are registered correctly. You will also support the unit in communication via our internal and external channels and take minutes at meetings where documentation is needed.
This is a role for you who enjoys being close to the operations, likes to combine structure with service, and appreciates having a central position in a team where a lot is happening.
QUALIFICATIONS
You have a high school diploma with an administrative, economic, or technical focus as a foundation. It is advantageous if you also have post-secondary education in administration, economics, or another area that the employer deems relevant.
For the role, it is required that you have professional experience from administrative work within, for example, community building, technical administration, or economic administration, where you have worked independently and had responsibility for similar tasks as those included in the position. You need to be comfortable working in various operational systems and have an easy time adapting to new tools and working methods.
We are looking for someone who enjoys creating structure, takes responsibility for your processes, and is eager to drive your work forward independently. The role requires you to have the ability to switch between details and the big picture and to have a natural inclination to complete and follow up on your cases. Since you collaborate with many different functions, it is important that you are attentive, communicative, and have a service-oriented approach. You tackle changes and new tasks with a solution-oriented mindset and contribute to good collaboration within the unit.
